The Bogle family has been active in agriculture for over 100 years. Since the late 1960s, grapes have also been grown in the California wine region of Clarksburg and later Lodi. This wine is made from Pinot Noir grapes that come from vineyards in Russian River Valley, Monterey and Clarksburg. The wine matured for 10 months in French and American oak barrels.
The Bogle Essential Red is an attractive blend of Old Vine Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah and together this makes a delicious wine. The Essential Red matures in American oak barrels for 12 months. The Bogle Essential Red is mouth-filling with ripe red fruit, sweet cherries, spices and vanilla. The wine is juicy with fine acidity and silky smooth with a soft fruity aftertaste. Drink this red wine at a temperature of 16°C. Delicious with the barbecue or roast of red meat or veal shank, grilled kangaroo and black pudding are also great.
