Tucked along the eastern edge of the house is an oak grove affectionately referred to as Grace's Grove. A winding path winds through the ancient oaks and scenic hills, offering views of distant vineyards and the occasional glimpse of Mount Hood. Like the ancient oaks that line the hilltop, Domaine founders Serene, Grace and Ken Evenstad , envisioned a clubhouse that could be built for centuries, and a place that would establish a sense of history in Oregon's wine country. Grace asked to preserve the oak forest as part of this timeless landscape. The clubhouse as they call it at Domaine Serene is named after the founder Grace Evenstad and the top wine of Domaine is also named after this.
Located on the Evenstad Estate, the Grace Vineyard is one of the hallmarks of Domaine Serene's single vineyard program. The Grace Vineyard has deep calcareous soil located on an east-facing slope and is named after its owner Grace Evenstad. The 2018 release is a transcendent wine from one of the most respected vineyards in the world for unparalleled single vineyard Pinot Noir.
The 2018 Pinot Noir Grace Vineyard has matured for 18 months in 60% new French oak. In the glass, the wine has a burgundy pale to medium ruby purple color and scents of blackcurrant and blackberry accented by bay, spruce, undergrowth, violets, citrus peel and potpourri. The medium-bodied taste is elegant yet powerful with a hearty, gritty freshness that begs for another sip. The Serene Grace has an incredibly long finish and is not for nothing the iconic top model named after Grace Evenstad. The wine was only released in September 2021 and a maximum of 600 costs are incurred for this wine. As an importer, we always only receive a handful of boxes of this icon.
FACT: ZERO TOLERANCE CORK (TCA)
On average, about five percent of all wines sealed with natural cork closures have a problem with cork exhibiting a musty odor. This is caused by a bacterium called TCA. These wines are typically characterized as "corked". Domaine Serene has developed a zero-tolerance policy against TCA and other cork odors, starting with the 2014 vintage. Our DSGC guarantee guarantees odor-free natural cork closures to our customers, regardless of where or when the wine is consumed. Already acclaimed by wine critics such as Harvey Steiman of the Wine Spectator, Domaine Serene is the ultimate example of unwavering quality commitment by winery founders Grace and Ken Evenstad.
ABOUT DOMAINE SERENE

In April 2015, the Evenstads, striving to be the undisputed champion with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, bought the famous Château de la Crée (one of the top Burgundy wine estates in the Côte d'Or) and 18 June 2021 is the Oregon-Burgundy relationship deepened with the acquisition of Domaine Christian Confuron & Fils. The domain includes 15 hectares of grands crus and premiers crus vineyards in the Côte de Nuits.
