Jiménez Landi Bajondillo is the 'smallest' cuvée and is an assembly of the different grape varieties that they cultivate. For them, the main thing is Garnacha, and with all their other wines this grape variety plays the leading role, but with this Bajondillo (literally: the lower cuvette) it is mainly Syrah, supplemented with the other grape varieties. They describe the Bajondillo as their village wine.
The Bajondillo has had a maceration of 20 days with an upbringing of 5 months in new French oak barrels of 500 liters and larger. In the glass, the wine is dark red with a purple sheen. Nice nose with lots of uplifting red fruit: raspberry, red currant, blueberry. Beautiful tone of white chocolate in perfect harmony. Juicy tannins, nicely knotted acids. Nice juicy glass of wine with a lot of content and a very good price-quality ratio. Surprising is the accessibility and integration of the barrel ripening that is buried by the red fruit and yet does not deny its somewhat Burgundian style.
Like all Jimenez Landi wines, this is also a Bio Dynmian wine, so no poison, pesticides, fertilizer, etc.
