Weingut Schwarz was founded by Hans Schwarz, originally a variety of real butchers. A vineyard that has been cared for by the family for generations. The Butcher line is designed to represent Schwarz Weiss and Rot wines. The Butcher wines are all made on their drinkability. The Butcher series is now a serious hype. The great unique finish and the price / quality makes this a very popular wine.
The Weingut Schwarz Butcher Cuvée Rot is a blend of Zweigelt (60%), Blaufränkisch (20%), Merlot (20%) coming from the Austrian Burgenland. The grapes have matured in used barrique for 12 months. In the glass, the Butcher Cuvée Rot has a dark ruby red color with purple / violet shades. In the nose red and dark fruit such as red berries and blackberries, but also a little nut, herbs, orange peel and spices. Deliciously drinkable with a rich and ripe tannin with some vanilla in the aftertaste. The Cuvee Rot is a very complex elegant wine belonging to one of the better red wines according to the Grand Cru wines team.
