In the 1960s, Giuseppe Inama, the founder of this reputed wine estate, started buying small plots of vineyards in the heart of 'Soave Classico'. The area was originally planted with the old "Graecanicum" (from Greece) variety. This name was then converted to "Garganega" in the local dialect. His idea was to collect only top quality vineyards from old Garganega vineyards and turn them into a wine capable of restoring Soave's reputation. Today Inama counts as a reference for both white and red wines in Soave.
This Chardonnay represents the expression of the territory - the volcanic Soave. It is the only wine that is made at Inama from grapes from both volcanic soil and calcareous soils. This wine also comes from the Soave Classico area: with the typical basalt-volcanic soil of marine origin. This chardonnay has a great aromatic power with an intense nose of golden apple and pear. On the palate, the wine is well structured with notes of apple, pear and mineral. Fresh and persistent finish. Ideal as an aperitif. The wine is fully fermented and matured on stainless steel in order to keep the wine clean and to give the maximum expression of the terroir without the influence of wood.
