For the beautiful bottle alone, you should have this rose on the table during every sunny occasion. But apart from that, the taste is really delicious and delicious with gazpacho with fresh oregano. This is the Premium L'Hydropathe version in which only the best grapes are used. Sainte Lucie considers this special wine the pinnacle of Provence rosé. The wine has already won several prizes. Syrah (60%) and grenache picked at night are soaked separately with skins on steel barrels for five hours. After the fruits have been pressed, the drained juice rests unfiltered for another week in closed vats in which oxygen has no chance of causing damage. Compared to the other MIP rose's, they had 4 months of education. Precisely this slow upbringing produces a very pure wine in which the characteristics of the different biologically treated vineyards can be tasted. Once in the assembly, the Lucie smells and tastes refined like ripe red fruits. It is his pleasant minerality and longer finish that set him apart from his lighter brothers. Therefore, this more complex rosé combines slightly more easily with spicy ingredients. For those who prefer a different color at the table, this Provence wine can always be served before eating: a better aperitif than this wine is hard to imagine.
Michel Fabre founded Domaine Sainte Lucie in 1978 in Puyloubier, twenty kilometers east of Aix-en-Provence, at the foot of the Montagne Sainte Victoire. The average thirty-five-year-old sticks of Sainte Lucie are placed on a thin layer of calcareous sandy and red clay soil full of stones. Basically only a soil suitable for wine grapes. This mainly concerns the red varieties grenache and syrah supplemented with some cabernet sauvignon, mourvèdre and of course carignan and cinsault.
Because the grapes on the domain enjoy optimal planting in relation to the sun, they can reach full and ripe maturity in good health. In humid weather, the pleasant mountain winds - of which the Mistral is perhaps the best known - ensure that fungi and rot do not get a grip on the bunches. It makes organic farming at Domaine Sainte Lucie an easy challenge.
The nature-friendly approach on the domain naturally also has an impact on the wines of Sainte Lucie. They are fruit-rich, elegantly spicy, floral and pure. Add to this the modern bottle versions and the rosés of Domaine Sainte Lucie can be counted among the most seductive Provence wines on every occasion and every moment of use.
