The Ozyetra is made from Riesling grapes from the Forster Pechstein Große Lage. It is a selection of the best barrels of the year. The grapes are planted on a complex soil with basalt, sandstone and loess loam. After the harvest, the grapes are carefully selected - only the best is good enough. The grapes are pressed and the juice fermented. The alcoholic fermentation in the traditional way, namely in 500 liter barrels. The wine is then aged on lees for 24 months. This gives the wine complexity and structure. One of the absolute top wines of Von Winning, a cult Riesling with tension, power and an unprecedented long aftertaste.
The Ozyetra is a layered Riesling, which vibrates on the tongue, a lot of power and at the same time a silky minerality. In the glass the color is lemon yellow with the typical riesling slightly reductive notes in the nose, lemon, lemon curd, wood with an incredibly complex mouth, intense, lots of tension with a great long finish. Delicious with fish dishes, such as fried turbot. Also delicious with prawns with lemon from the oven. This rarest von Winning always receives high marks and Parker writes in his review: ".....This is a spectacular"
