Winery Emil Bauer & Söhne is a family business run by the fifth generation: Alexander and Martin Bauer. The best conditions for viticulture can be found in the picturesque Nußdorf in Rhineland-Palatinate. The drastic improvements in the barrel cellar and the wine press have made the quality of the wines even better in recent years and that is why both winemakers were nominated 'Newcomer of the Year' at the Falstaff. A large number of grape varieties are grown here, which is typical of the Palatinate. In addition to classics such as riesling, grauburgunder, weißburgunder and silvaner, there are also international varieties such as merlot, cabernet sauvignon and sauvignon blanc. But all this is nothing compared to what the brothers have developed in the field of label design. All you need is riesling! Alexander and Martin Bauer not only understood this, but they sum it up clearly... both in the design and in the wine! You don't need anything else! This riesling is raised for 2/3 on stainless steel and 1/3 on oak. In the glass, the No Sex Just Riesling has a pale yellow to greenish yellow color with a bouquet of peach and Mediterranean fruit in the mouth. This is a classic Riesling with a fruity, dry taste with fresh acidity. A delicious Riesling with a modern label. Highly recommended with seafood and veal.

Sex, Drugs & Rock & Roll. Just Riesling for me, thanks! Label reminds me of a sandwich board I once saw on a butcher's sidewalk: ELEPHANT ON A SPIT! With very small written underneath: we don't have, but we do have chicken. Well, if you buy it anyway, you can easily add this Riesling from Emil Bauer. Also delicious if you put what is left of the animal on a sandwich or a salad the next day. Goes well with the tight of this Pfalz. Lots of white fruit, mandarin orange and citrus and almost bone dry. If that butcher is good, that was not the case for the chicken, Harold Hamersma, assessed in DGH 2018 with an 8.

Just Riesling for me, thanks! it says on the label. They are quite right, the good sons of Emil Bauer. Who else needs sex, drugs or rock 'n' roll with this crisp Riesling with ringing attack in the glass. Innocently pure, with a lovely sweet happy ending, Harold Hamersma, rated in DGH 2017 with an 8+.
