Félix Solís Avantis is one of the largest family wineries in Spain and was founded in 1952 in the DO Valdepeñas, long the main road to Madrid. The winery was established at the time with the most modern and extensive production facilities. Over the years, it has expanded to a production area of 120,000 m2. They make wines under many famous labels, such as Casa Albali and San Juan.

The Solís Kingpin Blanco is a Spanish Chardonnay in the style of the Enate 234 but with a little wood aging which gives the wine some extra complexity and creaminess. In addition to chardonnay (main part), the wine also contains Sauvignon Blanc and Verdejo which give the wine freshness and beautiful gives green tones. The fermentation of the three separate grape varieties takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of a maximum of 15 degrees. This will take 20-25 days. The wine then matures on the yeast cells for another 2-3 months, for extra complexity and creaminess. The Chardonnay matures for 3 months in French oak barrels, during which batonnage takes place: the yeast cells give extra creaminess. Then the blend is made.

In the glass, the Solís Kingpin Blanco is light golden yellow in the glass. In the nose we smell fresh and fresh notes of tropical fruit, peach with fresh citrus notes. In the mouth the wine is juicy and generous with lots of fruit, soft fresh acidity and creaminess. This is a lovely glass to enjoy and delicious with paella, tapas or meats.
