An incredibley rare and interesting Springbank bottling- released exclusively for the China Single Malts Club. 'Door Gods' are a series of releases relating to the Chinese tradition of having paintings on the doors of households to bring luck and happiness to the family. This- the 4th and final edition in the series - contains 2 single cask botles- one drawn from a sherry cask and one from a fresh port hogshead.

Sherry Cask - Cask No 165
ABV 53.5% One of 246 Bottles.
Aroma - Classic Springbank with maritime notes combining with merengue- vanilla- lemon- almond and linseed oil
Palate - Sweet- viscous and rounded with notes of honey- custard creme- caramel- nutmeg and black pepper.
Finish - A long finish- enveloping the mouth with peat smoke- oak and worn leather.

Fresh Port Hogshead Cask - 730
ABV 53-5% One of 246 Bottles.
Aroma - Dark fruits- raisins- orange peel- cloves and red apple.
Palate - Richly dark with notes of marmalade-stewed fruits- prunes and figs.
Finish - Bitter chocolate- mint and mixed peel combine well with the traditional earthy notes of Springbank.
