The perfect present for lovers of Champagne... a signed by Ruinart sleek and
beautiful wooden gift box with their Blanc de Blancs and Rosé Champagnes.
The Rosé has delicate, peach skin notes, and hints of mandarin and pomegranate
weave in amongst the largely hedgerow strawberry and fresh raspberry character
on the nose. There is a touch of cream and rhubarb on the palate and more sweet
red fruits with a speckling of ginger and rosewater, all jollied along by fresh
but gentle acidity. Lively yet elegant this is one of the most graceful pinks on
the market.
The Blanc de Blancs it at first very intense on the nose, with fresh fruit
notes, particularly ripe citrus fruits. The palate very rounded and with
excellent freshness. You will find notes of nectarines, citrus fruits with a
pleasant mineral quality in the long, very refreshing finish.
"Ruinart sponsored Edinburgh University's OTC Cavalry Skiing Team (I still have
the team top!) and I remember an epic trip to Reims with a friend a few years
later to pick up a significant number of cases for his wedding, so the maison
has long had a place in my heart."
