This wine offers aromas of fresh almonds and vanilla with fresh green apple and citrus overtones. On the palate the wine has lovely notes of brioche, almond, fresh apricot and vanilla. Full bodied and reminiscent of the great Burgundian villages of Meursault.
Louis Latour came to the Ardèche in 1979 attracted by its climate and the clay limestone soils that are perfect for the Chardonnay vine. The consistent climate and abundant sunshine perfectly ripen the grapes, whilst the drying Mistral wind eliminates the risk of rot. Grand Ardèche is treated as if it were grown in one of the prestigious vineyards of the Côte d’Or. Fully-ripened grapes are selected and pressed lightly before being aged in oak barrels made at the Latour cooperage in Beaune.

About Louis Latour
Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour has been in family ownership for 11 generations and are one of the region's most famous names. They have the privilege of creating wines from their own 50 hectare domaine in the Côte d'Or and also from the very best grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business. They also produce all their own barrels at their small, traditional cooperage in Savigny-Lès-Beaune.
