On the nose there are notes of red berries followed by blackberry and black cherry. The wine is full and the tannins are silky. On the palate there are black fruits blended with meaty, savoury flavours to create a fresh wine ready for enjoying.
The village of Marsannay lies to the south of Dijon and marks the northern gateway to the Côte dOr. Marsannay received its Appellation Contrôlée as recently as 1987 in recognition of the consistently high quality of its wine. The wines are characterised by their robust and intense structure, influenced by the iron-based soils on which they grow.

About Louis Latour
Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour has been in family ownership for 11 generations and are one of the region's most famous names. They have the privilege of creating wines from their own 50 hectare domaine in the Côte d'Or and also from the very best grapes and wines purchased through the negociant arm of the business. They also produce all their own barrels at their small, traditional cooperage in Savigny-Lès-Beaune.
