FAIR Spirits introduces a new Muscavado Rum to its range
Dark muscovado is a type of unrefined sugar with a strong molasses content, sourced in Mauritius. The fermentation takes place in Cognac at ambient temperature that can take up to 2 weeks. The distillation occurs in a copper still, also within the Cognac region, according to the traditional way.
It is crystal clear, with intriguing and intense herbal aromas which fluctuate between agricultural rum, cachaca and fruit mare spirits. The palate is very plain which reveals a delicate rum, it is not eccentric in alcohol but rich in sugarcane character. The finish is long lasting with lingering muscovado sugar
