100% Malbec from Mauricio Lorca's own vineyards in Vista Flores in the Uco Valley, 30% of which is lightly oaked. High density, high vertical vine training, just under 7,000 vines per hectare, approximately 2 bottles of wine per plant, this is the Fantasia philosophy. A really expressive, dark and rather serious Malbec for the money with masses of plush black fruit on the nose and the all freshness on the palate that the Uco Valley offers.Having worked with such prestigious wineries as Catena Zapata, Luigi Bosca and Michel Torino, Mauricio established his own winery in 2002 in Perdriel, Lujan de Cuyo, 25km from the centre of Mendoza. Here he produces a wide range of wines focusing on freshness and varietal character. He is a man who puts his heart and soul into winemaking and a focus on minimal use of oak ensures he always stands out from the crowd. The results are beautifully crafted, deeply concentrated yet elegant wines.
