Jinzu is a Japanese inspired gin, winning the Show Your Spirit competition of which it certainly does. A combination of traditional botanicals met with Japanese elements of cherry blossom, yuzu and sake, a fermented beverage made from rice, make for a distinctive yet mild taste. Although rich in juniper taste, it comes across as an unfamiliar taste, the blossom rendering it somewhere between sweet and herbal and the sake creating a creamy bite at the end. Its character shines through the whole experience, a proper collaboration of taste and culture.
