All Aberlour single malts are made with the best local barley and soft water,
from nearby Ben Rinnes Mountain.Maturation takes place for a minimum of 12 years
in hand-selected oloroso sherry casks and American oak casks. This double
maturation subtly brings together the characteristics of each cask to create a
rich and complex range of single malts.
The 12-year-old Aberlour is a rich single malt with compelling citrus character
and a good example of how the distinctive crisp Aberlour citrus aroma, is
softened by aging in two casks.
