Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva, a red wine from the Valle Central south of Santiago de
Chile, is grown under optimal climatic conditions. The vineyards are located at
altitudes of 800 to 1,200 meters in small valleys between the Pacific Ocean and
the Andes mountains. This geographical location offers ideal conditions for
viticulture, including significant temperature differences between day and
night, cooling sea breezes, intense sunlight and nutrient-rich alluvial soils of
the Andes.
The composition of Escudo Rojo includes 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Carmenere,
20% Syrah and 2% Cabernet Franc. It matures for 12 months in one-year-old
barrels, which gives it its balanced structure. The wine has a storage potential
until 2028 and is sealed with a natural cork.
