This bourbon is named after the former distillery president Colonel Albert B.
Blanton, who always had a very special stock of bourbon - his private reserve -
which was stored in the legendary and famous warehouse H. With its introduction
in 1984, Elmer T. Lee revolutionized the whiskey industry with the world's first
single barrel bourbon.Blanton's Straight from the Barrel Bourbon was the third
version to be launched.

The rich heritage and tradition of horses in Kentucky goes hand in hand with
that of bourbon. Since 1999, a collector's set of eight different corks has been
produced to pay homage to this Kentucky heritage.

The set features a horse and jockey in various paces and poses reminiscent of
the stages of a horse race from start to finish. Each stopper is marked with a
single letter that spells out Blanton's when the set is complete.
