Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near
Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their
own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionized grappa production by introducing the first
single-varietal grappa. The Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is
now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di
Sant'Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.

The Bottega Amarone della Valpolicella is an exquisite red wine and is one of
the finest wines from the Valpolicella region and one of the most important in
Italy. The grapes of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella varieties are dried
under the warm sun until they shrivel into raisins. After this elaborate
process, the wine matures in barrique barrels, which gives it its depth and
complexity, before being sealed with a natural cork.
