Braulio Amaro is an Italian herbal liqueur and was produced in 1826 by the
pharmacist Francesco Peloni. The bitter has been distilled since 1875 at the
Peloni distillery in the municipality of Bormio in Lombardy. The herbs used in
the production of the herbal liqueur come exclusively from the region of Bormio,
more precisely from the mountain that gives it its name, "Monte Braulio".Before
bottling, the Riserva must rest for a while before it can be bottled. This means
that the bitter liqueur is stored for a few more weeks in barrels made of
Slavonian oak, so that it can best develop its aromas.
