The Bulgarini winery is run by Fausto and Virginia Bulgarini, together with
their three children, and is a dynamic and modern company. The clayey and
calcareous soils of Italy offer the winemaker the opportunity to achieve the
highest quality of his grapes, covering a total of 50 hectares. The winery is a
member of the consortium for the protection of Lugana DOC.
Bulgarini Lugana is an exquisite white wine made from Turbiana grapes from the
Lombardy region. The vineyards are located on moraine hills dating back to the
Ice Age, which offer ideal conditions thanks to their fertile, clayey and
gravelly soils. The vinification process begins with gentle pressing of the
grapes and controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The wine develops a
remarkable depth and complexity through the long maturation on the yeasts. Once
it has matured, Bulgarini Lugana is carefully bottled and sealed with a natural
cork.
