Since it was founded in 1939 by Domenico Dal Cero, the Ca dei Frati winery has
remained a byword for family winemaking. With an annual production of around
400,000 bottles, of which only 30% are destined for export, the winery has
secured an exclusive position on the global market.

The Ca dei Frati I FRATI Lugana is at the center of Ca dei Frati's pride and
joy. This wine has made the winery famous and continues to shape its image. It
is closely linked to the indigenous Turbiana grape variety, of which it is 100%
made. The Turbiana grapes, which thrive on calcareous and clayey soils, undergo
careful vinification in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged and matured for
at least six months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks, followed by two
months of bottle ageing to perfect its characteristic quality. This white wine
is then bottled and sealed with a natural cork.



Originally conceived as a vintage wine, it unfolds its full splendor many years
after bottling. In its youth, the wine is fresh and straightforward,
characterized by great finesse and elegance as well as delicate aromas of white
and balsamic flowers, apricot and almonds.
