Since it was founded in 1939 by Domenico Dal Cero, the Ca dei Frati winery has
remained a byword for family winemaking. With an annual production of around
400,000 bottles, of which only 30% are destined for export, the winery has
secured an exclusive position on the global market.
The Ca dei Frati I FRATI Lugana, an elegant white wine, is characterized by the
careful selection of Trebbiano grapes grown on nutrient-rich, calcareous clay
soil. After a short maceration period, the wine undergoes temperature-controlled
fermentation, followed by six months of maturation on the lees. An additional
two months of ageing in the bottle completes the maturation process and
contributes to the complexity of the wine.
With an impressive ageing potential of up to four years, I FRATI Lugana is
bottled in bottles sealed with a natural cork.
