The Giacosa Fratelli winery has been run by the Giacosa family in beautiful
Piedmont, Italy, for over 100 years. In the 1990s, Maurizio and Paolo took over
the winery, which produces one of the finest wines in the Langhe. They currently
cultivate 50 hectares of vineyards. Naturalness and quality, the guiding
principles of the family business, are the top priorities.
The Barolo Bussia comes from the renowned vineyards of the Bussia site in
Monforte d'Alba, one of the most sought-after growing regions for Barolo. The
unique soil composition, characterized by clayey and calcareous soils, gives the
Nebbiolo grapes an extraordinary aromatic complexity and structure.
The fully ripe grapes are carefully selected by hand and then fermented
spontaneously to preserve the natural expressiveness of the terroir. This is
followed by three years of ageing in wooden barrels, which gives the wine its
depth and elegance.
