The Caperdonich Distillery was built directly opposite the now very famous Glen
Grant Distillery.Unfortunately, the Caperdonich Distillery never really managed
to emerge from the shadows of Glen Grant and was thus given the ungrateful name
"Glen Grant No. 2".
The Caperdonich distillery was closed and in 2011 the distillery was finally
demolished.
However, some independent bottlers still own one or two barrels of the
distillery that no longer exists and publish them from time to time.
This Caperdonich whisky matures for 18 years in American oak casks.
