La Casa Dragones has existed since 1671 and was originally the stables of the
legendary Dragones cavalry. Today, many tequila tastings are held in these
historic stables. Casa Dragones was inspired by Dragones of San Miguel de
Allende. This elite cavalry defended the interests of the Spanish Queen and
subsequently led the Mexican Independence of 1810. Mexican independence is still
part of Casa Dragones today - the number "16" is enshrined on the labels and
engraving on the bottom of the bottles. The elegant colonial town of San Miguel
de Allende is considered a World Heritage Site and has been designated by
UNESCO.
The production of Casa Dragones Tequila is based on a modern and sustainable
method. Casa Dragones Anejo Barrel Blend is a combination of two Anejo
varieties. The result is an agave-infused, elegant and smooth tequila - a real
highlight for spirits connoisseurs. This barrel blend is distilled from 100%
blue agave and aged in two different, new and custom-made barrels: French and
American oak barrels. In collaboration with one of the most prestigious
cooperages of Frankrech, the woods for these custom oak barrels were selected.
