The Dictador Distillery Icon Reserve at 20 years of age is distilled from the
fermentation of native "Suger Cane Honey" i.e. the honey-like sugar cane syrup,
which, unlike molasses, is an essence of fresh sugar cane juice. The
distillation takes place partly in copper alembics and partly in steel tanks.
Here the collumn distillation process is used. This results in a medium rum
body, which has a pleasant aromatic effect. The maturation is carried out using
the Solera method in American oak barrels. To ensure that all the secrets remain
in the liquid aroma, the bottles are then bottled under the highest quality
control. Unlike many other "mainstream rums" today, Dictador rum is not
sweetened. Nevertheless, it has a slightly natural sweetness, which therefore
has a particularly harmonious effect.Awards:
