the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva. This full-bodied and complex rum differs
significantly from the well-known, rather light Venezuelan rums such as Cacique
or Ocumare. The Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is aimed at the discerning
connoisseur who appreciates depth and character in a rum.
Distilled in traditional copper pot stills made from molasses, the Diplomatico
Reserva Exclusiva matures for at least 12 years in carefully selected ex-bourbon
barrels. This long maturation period gives it an intense body and exceptional
balance. The producer remains true to the old Venezuelan style, which is
characterized by heavy and warm tones, and thus sets itself apart from the
country's recently predominant light and pleasing rum style.
The Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is the result of traditional experience and
