The Don Q brand takes its name from the world-famous novella "Don Quixote" by
author Miguel Cervantes. The Serralles family produces the rum according to old
family tradition. This blend is initially matured for 5 to 8 years in American
white oak barrels. Once the first phase of maturation is complete, this
exceptional rum rests for another year in selected American white oak barrels
previously used for Spanish oloroso sherry.
The extended contact of the rum, with the sherry-soaked wood in the barrel,
gives it a unique flavour and depth that makes it exceptional.
