The Faustino brand, founded in the 1960s by Eleuterio Martinez Arkoz, represents
an important family history and tradition in the world of wine. Since 1990, the
company has been proudly run by the fourth generation of the family, with the
name "Faustino" chosen as a tribute to the father, Faustino Martinez Arkoz. Over
time, the characteristic face on the labels of Faustino wines has become one of
the most recognizable symbols in the wine industry and today stands for quality
and tradition.
The heart of the brand, the winery, is located in the renowned Rioja wine region
in Spain. This location is not only known for its picturesque landscapes, but
also for producing some of the world's most prized wines, including those of
Faustino.
Faustino I Gran Reserva is made from the Graciano, Mazuelo and Tempranillo grape
varieties. The wine is aged for 26 months in a combination of American and
French oak barrels. After this ageing period, the wine is bottled and sealed
with a natural cork.
