Flor de Cana, a traditional rum that has been family-owned since 1890, is
produced sustainably. In 1875, the young adventurer Alfredo Francisco Pellas
Canessa left his home in Genoa, Italy, and set off for Nicaragua. There, at the
foot of the San Cristobal volcano, the highest and most active volcano in
Nicaragua, he discovered the perfect location for his distillery.

The fertile soil, the mineral-rich water and the hot climate of the volcano gave
the rum its unique, mild taste. Today, Flor de Cana is committed to
sustainability and fair trade-certified spirits and is committed to a greener
future.



The rum is a blend of several different rums, including three-year-old and
five-year-old rums, which together form a harmonious base. The ten-year-old rum,
which has a strong taste and a light color, is characterized by its smoothness,
softness and complex aromas.
