In 1975, Gerard Bertrand began his grape harvest at Chateau de Villemajou in the
Corbieres, where he discovered his passion for wine. Over the course of twelve
years, he honed his skills alongside his father Georges Bertrand until the
fourth generation finally carried on the legacy. After the tragic death of his
father in 1987, Gerard Bertrand took over the family management of the Domaine
de Villemajou and founded the Gerard Bertrand wine company. The Gerard Bertrand
Group comprises 16 wine estates and 16 chateaux along the Mediterranean coast of
France, covering a total of 850 hectares. Some of the grapes are harvested by
hand and matured in 225-liter Bordeaux barrels, while the rest is stored in
stainless steel tanks.6 estates and 16 chateaux. The estate covers 850 hectares
and is located on the Mediterranean coast of France. Some of the grapes are

Heresie embodies the history of the knights of the south of France in an
exquisite cuvee of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. The grape varieties of the
Gerard Bertrand HERESIE CORBIERES Rouge are vinified separately and
traditionally: Syrah provides aromas of black fruits and spices, Mourvedre
complements fine notes of licorice, while the de-stemmed Grenache grapes add
fruitiness, richness and elegance to the blend after a short cold maceration.
The result is a full-bodied, harmonious red wine that perfectly combines history
and pleasure.
