The Giacosa Fratelli winery has been run by the Giacosa family for over 100
years in beautiful Piedmont, Italy. In the 90s Maurizio and Paolo took over the
winery, which produces one of the finest wines of the Langhe. Currently, 50
hectares of vines are cultivated. Naturalness as well as quality, the guiding
principles of the family business, are paramount.
The Mandorlo vineyard in the famous Scarrone site is the flagship of the Giacosa
Fratelli winery. The vineyard, which faces southeast, is very steep and the
Nebbiolo vines are decidedly old.
After a short but intense maceration, this wine is aged according to traditional
methods for 5 years.
