The Weingut Heinrich is located in Gols in Burgenland. It is under the
management of Gernot and Heike Heinrich. A great wine is only made when the
vines feel good. The family vineyards are located in Purbach, Breitenbrunn,
Winden, Jois, Neusiedl am See, Weiden, Gold, Moenchhof and Podersdorf. The
numerous hours of sunshine around Lake Neusiedl allow the grapes to develop
fully and reflect this intensity in the taste. The red wine was named after the
excellent south-facing slope of the same name, which is situated directly above
our winery. The soil of this slope ranges from clayey-silty to chalky and
sandy-scaly. This combination allows the Blaeufraenkisch and Merlot to mature
perfectly. The wine was aged for 30 months in 500 l oak barrels.
