The renowned Hennessy distillery is located in Cognac, France, and was founded
in 1765 by Richard Hennessy. This Irish-born officer emigrated to Cognac, where
he founded the company "Jas Hennessy & Co", which is now run by the eighth
generation. Richard Hennessy's cognac quickly gained great renown and
established itself as one of the most famous and sought-after brandies in the
world.

This fine cognac is produced exclusively from grapes grown in the Cognac region.
After a double distillation in traditional copper stills, pure eaux-de-vie is
produced, which serves as the basis for all Hennessy Cognacs. A particular
highlight of the product range is the Hennessy Very Special, which matures for
eight years in carefully selected French oak barrels.



This long maturation period gives it its unmistakable, complex taste and rich
