The Raasay Single Malt is a tribute to the highest hill on the Isle of Raasay,
Dun Caan. A blend of peated and unpeated distillate is used to produce this
whisky.The whisky is then matured for nine months in former Kentucky rye whiskey
barrels. These casks were previously filled with Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso
sherry from Bodega Miguel Martin.
This Raasay single malt is the first in the annual Dun Cana series, whereby each
edition may differ slightly in terms of cask composition or age.
With this series, the distillery aims to emphasize the diversity and quality of
its whisky, while at the same time paying tribute to the natural beauty and
character of the Isle of Raasay.
