Kaiken was named after a wild goose from Patagonia called "Caiquen" that makes
its way across the Andes between Argentina and Chile.Like the wild geese, the
founder, Aurelio Montes, had made several trips across the Andes until he
realized in 2001 that Mendoza was the perfect place to make Kaiken wines.
Kaiken stands for freedom and boundlessness.
Kaiken's Malbec Estate is a true example of the varietal's expression on the
Mendoza terroir. It is an elegant, sensual wine with abundant fruit, a wide
range of flavors and just the right amount of influence from six months of aging
in French oak.
