The Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Finish marks the first full maturation in Sauternes
casks after a break of over six years and is the first release since the
Sauternes Cask Finish in Autumn 2018. This whisky received a minimum of five
years full maturation in Sauternes casks, with 78% of the casks being refill
Sauternes casks first used for the 2018 release and 22% fresh Sauternes casks.
The cask selection was made personally by Kilchoman founder Anthony Wills and is
renowned for its complex and varied flavors achieved through careful maturation
and cask selection. The Kilchoman Sauternes Cask Finish was presented as part of
the Kilchoman Tour and, according to the importer, has already gained a large
fan base. The combination of careful cask selection and long maturation gives
this whisky its unique character and special quality.
