Kimerud Distillery, a family-run distillery from Norway, is known for its
high-quality spirits that combine tradition and innovation. Master distiller and
founder Stale Havaldsen Johnsen discovered his passion for distillation in 2006
during a hike, when a bottle of his father-in-law's homemade herbal liqueur made
the rounds around a campfire. Intrigued by the complex aromas of the herbs and
the fascinating distillation process, Stale decided to learn more about the art
and one day create his own signature spirit.

Through the guidance of his father-in-law and his own experimentation, Stale
eventually developed a wide range of award-winning gins and a traditional
aquavit. All products are distilled, stored and bottled at the picturesque
Kimerud farm in Lier, west of Oslo. With its clean air and fertile soil, the
region offers ideal conditions for growing herbs and berries, which give the
spirits their unique characteristics.
