The Kracher winery is located in the "Seewinkel" region of Burgenland in
Austria. Thanks to the warm and humid climate, the evaporation from the lake and
the evening mist, the conditions here are ideal for Botrytis cinerea, the basis
for outstanding sweet wines such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen.
Gerhard Kracher continues to run the winery with the same dedication. In
addition to the famous Trockenbeerenauslesen, the winery also offers
Beerenauslesen, Auslesen, ice wine and small quantities of dry white and red
wine and is considered one of the best-known wineries in Austria.
This excellent ice wine is produced by Weinlaubenhof Kracher itself, made from
the best Gruener Veltliner grapes. After careful harvesting and pressing of the
grapes, the ice wine matures for 24 months in steel tanks, where it develops its
fine aromas and balanced acid structure. The wine is then bottled and sealed
with a natural cork.

- 92-93/100 points The Wine Advocate
