For more than 600 years, the Antinori family has been involved in wine
production, starting with Giovanni di Piero Antinori's admission to the Arte
Fiorentina dei Vinattieri in 1385. This tradition, which spans 26 generations,
has always been led directly by the family, characterized by innovative choices
with constant respect for tradition and origin.
Marchesi Antinori Solaia is an exclusive cuvee of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese
and Cabernet Franc, whose grapes thrive on chalky soils. During the manual
harvest, great importance was attached to the selection of perfect grapes in
order to guarantee the quality of the wine. All three grape varieties were
fermented at controlled temperatures between 27° and a maximum of 31° in order
to preserve the freshness, aroma and character of the fruit.
After alcoholic fermentation and racking of the must, the individual wines were
transferred to new oak barriques, where they were initially allowed to develop
separately. They were then blended, followed by a maturation period of around 12
months in the barriques. After this careful maturation, the Solaia is bottled
and sealed with a natural cork.
With an impressive ageing potential until 2036, Solaia offers an elegant
drinking experience characterized by depth, finesse and exceptional quality.
Awards:

- 100 points Vinous by Antonio Galloni
