Metaxa's ouzo is 100% distilled in small copper kettles, so-called pot stills,
which brings out its variety of aromas. The expertise of the Metaxa master plays

Mastic, a fragrant resin from the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus), has been
valued since ancient times and gives the ouzo a refreshing, slightly maritime

Mastic is created by drying and hardening the resin balm that comes out of the
bushes or trees. It is traditionally used for various culinary and medicinal
