The Mueller Kloech winery, located in the picturesque region of Kloech in
south-eastern Styria, was founded by Walter Mueller in 1973. Today, his son
Stefan Mueller successfully continues to run the family business. The family's
vineyards are located in the first-class Hochwarth and Seindl sites, which offer
ideal conditions for cultivation thanks to their special geographical location
and optimal climate. These conditions allow for first-class grape ripening,
which is clearly reflected in the taste of the wines.
Mueller Kloech Pinot Blanc is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes and is vinified
with great care. The grapes grow on reddish loam and weathered basalt rock,
which gives the wine its special minerality. After the harvest, the wine matures
both in stainless steel tanks and in a 500-liter wooden barrel, after which the
wine is bottled and sealed with a screw cap. This closure method ensures optimal
storage, allowing the Pinot Blanc to mature for up to 10 years and gain in
complexity.
