The Ole Smoky Distillery in the Smoky Mountains has a deep history dating back
over a century, beginning with the first settlers in the region. Despite the
long tradition, the production of moonshine was not always legal until a change
in Tennessee law made it possible to open the first state-licensed distillery in
Gatlinburg.

Today, Ole Smoky not only produces the traditional moonshine that has been
appreciated regionally for generations, but also a variety of exquisite
whiskies. These products are a testament to the craftsmanship and rich history

For this reason, Ole Smoky made the decision to add pure apple juice with ground
cinnamon and other spices to their moonshine to create the Ole Smoky Apple Pie
