Casa Paladin is a renowned Italian winery in Veneto, specifically in the
DOCG-certified Valpolicella region. The history of the winery dates back to the
1960s, when it was founded by Carlo Paladin. Casa Paladin's winemaking
philosophy aims to blend traditional methods with contemporary techniques to
create wines that reflect the characteristic terroir of the region. This is
achieved through a combination of time-honored methods and the latest equipment
to ensure the quality and consistency of the wines.
The Paladin Zogo Syrah wine is the result of a careful blend of Syrah grapes
harvested at two different stages of ripeness. One part of the grapes is picked
during the regular harvest cycle, while the other part is only harvested after
it has reached a specific degree of dryness. This process contributes to the
complexity and harmony of the wine. The Syrah is matured in steel tanks and
sealed with a natural cork to preserve its quality.
Award:
- 2015 vintage, gold medal at the Concours Mondial in Brussels
- 2015 vintage, silver medal at the Mundus Vini Competition
- 2014 vintage, gold medal at the Selections Mondiales des Vins
- Vintage 2014, gold medal at the Berlin Wine Trophy
- Vintage 2021, 94/100 points at I Migliori Vini Italiani di Luca Maroni 2023
