composed of extracts of herbs, flowers, juices, roots and berries. Among others,
there are lime blossoms, birch buds, valerian roots, raspberries, blueberries
and ginger, as well as notes of nutmeg and black peppercorn. The unique recipe
was created in the 18th century in Riga by pharmacist Abraham Kunz. Riga Black
Balsam is stored in oak barrels, where its characteristic strength and somewhat
bittersweet taste can develop.
