In the picturesque countryside of Riegersburg in Styria, Alois Goelles is the
third generation to run the traditional family fruit-growing business. After
graduating from the renowned Federal College for Wine and Fruit Growing in
Klosterneuburg, he dedicated himself to refining his parents' harvest of apples,
pears, plums and peaches. His entry into the distillation of fine brandies began
in 1979, followed by the founding of his manufactory for high-quality vinegar in
1984. Today, the range includes around twenty fine brandies and just as many
types of vinegar, which regularly receive recognition.

The "Ron Johan Rum" is characterized by its unique origin: It is distilled in
Styria, with the molasses required for production being sourced from Brazil,
Paraguay and the Dominican Republic. Another striking feature of this rum is the
label on the bottle, which depicts the pirate Black Beard and the Austrian
Archduke Johann. The rum is also dedicated to the latter, which gives it a
special cultural and historical dimension.



Ron Johan Madeira Cask Rum is an exceptional organic rum and a limited special
bottling of the year 2024. This fine, multi-layered rum is made from
high-quality Paraguayan sugar cane molasses and matures harmoniously for several
years in American white oak barrels. After this long maturation, it receives its
seductive finish in Madeira wine barrels for a further seven months, which gives
it additional complexity and a unique flavor profile.



This rum is limited to 1,335 bottles worldwide.
