Santa Teresa 1796 Solera Rum is a premium solera rum produced in the Aragua
Valley in Venezuela. This area is known for its high-quality cane sugar, which
is used in the rum's production process.
The special feature of Santa Teresa 1796 lies in its production method: it is
the only rum from the Hacienda Ron Santa Teresa that is produced using the
solera method.
This method involves maturing the rum in a system of oak barrels that merge into
one another, resulting in a continuous integration of young and older
distillates.
For the maturation of Santa Teresa 1796, specially selected oak barrels are
used, which were previously used for the storage of Spanish sherry and brandy.
This practice gives the rum its multi-layered aroma profile, which is
characterized by notes of dried fruit, spices and a light woody note.
