Signatory Vintage Scotch is known as one of the most prestigious independent
bottlers of Scotch in the world and stands for exceptional exclusivity. By
carefully selecting malts from Scotland's most prestigious distilleries and
focusing on individual batches and casks, Signatory creates a product that is
described as "single, single, single malt" - a sign of the highest exclusivity.
Glentauchers is located in Scotland's Speyside region and was founded in 1897 by
James Buchanan and W. P. Lowrie. After several changes of ownership, the
distillery was modernized in the mid-1960s under the management of Scottish Malt
Distillers. After a period of closure and further changes of ownership, the
distillery finally became the property of the Pernod Ricard Group.
There are very few single malt bottlings, as almost the entire production volume
is used in blended whisky. Matured in first fill Oloroso sherry butts, this
powerful Speyside single malt combines fresh, clear whisky notes with the rich
depth of sherry, creating a multi-layered and tantalizing pleasure.
